| Mountain Tea |
From controlled collections in the wild
The as yet small band of connoisseurs associates the increasingly popular mountain tea mainly with the Greek mountains. While the name of the
species Sideritis (sideros = iron) originates from the Greek, the about 100 different Sideritis species are indigenous to the entire Mediterranean region.
Our mountain tea comes from controlled collections in the wild of the Anatolian mountains, where it is
a popular beverage to relax with after a hard day's work. The aromatic stalks, leaves, and flowers are plucked from the bushy plants and require no
further processing other than drying.

Mountain tea is rich in essential oils and
appreciated particularly because of its stimulating effect on the nervous system. A very different taste experience! Even as a hot drink, its effect is pleasantly cooling.
