Residue Analyses
In Germany, the marketability of each individual tea is regulated in a directive, defining mandatory maximum residue levels. In these tests, the product is checked for raised fertilizer and pesticide levels
as well as for heavy metals, in order to ensure maximum consumer protection.

These tests are carried out by independent, state recognized laboratories. A tea variety is only approved for trade, if it complies with the legal regulations. Teas from crisis regions are more frequently monitored than those from regions that
are generally seen as safer.

All analyses for our company have for many years now been carried out by the Chem.-Techn. Laboratorium Quality Services International, Bremen.

UnIndependent of the analytical results, our tea tasters test each consignment sensorially to ensure their faultless quality. This work requires a lot of skills and experience.

All samples – the initial offer sample, the shipping sample, and finally the sample of the consignment itself after arrival in Bremen – are cross-referenced and compared in taste, in order to make sure that the goods you receive are faultless.
